Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority seeks a qualified health professional for the SH - Mental Health and Addictions team to coordinate patient-centered services. A minimum of four years’ related community experience with severe mental illness is required, along with a health/human services degree.

This role involves in-person collaboration with an inter-disciplinary team to plan and deliver care. Anticipated start ASAP, 1.00 FTE, Day/Evening/Weekend shifts; professional registration is required.

Qualifications

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Experience

• Minimum four years related community experience working with people with severe and enduring mental illness; combination of institution and community experience will be considered.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• BSW, OT, PT, BSc PN, RPN, BN, RN, SLP, RD, or related health/human service degree required.
• Specific discipline required will be based on the operational needs of the inter-disciplinary team.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of registration with relevant regulatory body.

Qualifications and Skills

• Working knowledge of the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery.
• Skills in assessing, planning, development and coordination of services.Working knowledge and experience in working with people experiencing addictions an asset.
• Effective networking and agency relation skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements

• Vehicle and driver’s license required.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
