Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Service Coordinator to ensure customer expectations are accurately assessed and fully met. You will place orders, gather service data from technicians, and quote customers while coordinating technician scheduling in a fast-paced branch environment.

Responsibilities include expediting backorders, sourcing parts, selecting cost-efficient shipping methods, handling returns, and maintaining strong customer relationships to drive repeat business.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with 3–5 years related experience or equivalent
• Engineering technologist diploma or EIT would be an asset
• Strong communication, negotiation and organizational skills required

Responsibilities

• Place customer orders via telephone, fax, email, or walk-in
• Quote customers using service data from technicians

• Schedule Service Technicians and determine cost-effective shipping
• Source products from branch, DC, or supplier inventory

SUMMARYUnder general supervision, the Service Coordinator ensures customer expectations are accurately determined and are fully met. The Service Coordinator may support specific customer(s).JOB DUTIESPlaces customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk in (counter sales).Collects data from Service Technician to quote customer.Influences Motion Industries' gross profit through negotiating the sale price and purchase price, within certain parameters.May adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet the demands of the customer based on competition, while maximizing the profit for Motion Industries.Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business by relating to the customer and drive process improvements.Expedites backorders. May pull inventory and prepare order for shipment to customer.Responsible for sourcing products in branch inventory, distribution center inventory or supplier inventory.Responsible for scheduling Service Technician’s time.Determines the most cost effective shipping method for customer orders.May handle customer returns.May support specific customer(s).Tracks and schedules service orders.Performs other duties as assigned.Responds to customer inquires regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
