Job summary

Fountain Tire Burnaby (5850 Kingsway) is seeking a friendly Service Advisor to join our team. You will create work orders, schedule bookings, communicate with technicians, provide quotes, secure customer authorization, and follow up on services.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive repair or tire industry preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to listen to customer needs and provide recommendations.
• Knowledge of tires, wheels and basic mechanical services.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Professional, friendly and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Create work orders, schedule bookings and relay details to technicians.
• Provide quotes, obtain customer authorization, finalize sales and follow up.
• Proactively contact customers to measure satisfaction with service.
• Recommend tire services and wheel/mechanical services to customers.
• Ensure accurate billing and data entry in the computer system.
• Keep showroom promotions up to date.
• Participate in safety initiatives and complete required training.
• Assist inventory management and annual counts.

Overview

Fountain Tire Burnaby (5850 Kingsway), an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a friendly and dedicated individual to join our team as a Service Advisor!

Primary Responsibilities:

• Creating work orders and arranging bookings and communicating them to the technicians
• Provide service quotes and receive customer authorization for work to be performed on vehicles, finalize sales, and complete customer follow up.
• Provide proactive calls to customers to determine their satisfaction level with the service they have received
• Recommend tire service, specialty tire service, wheel and mechanical service to customers
• Ensure that all products are billed accurately to the customer and process all necessary information in the computer system.
• Keep promotional material updated in the showroom.
• Participate in all safety initiatives, as required or assigned, to guarantee safety at Fountain Tire including customers and staff, on the road, site or field.
• Complete assigned e-learning and safety courses and adhering to standards and policies as described in learning modules.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts

What does it take to get on track?

• Experience in the automotive repair industry or tire industry is preferred
• Effective listening skills with the ability to identify customer needs and provide recommendations
• Working knowledge of passenger, light truck and, specialty tires and mechanical services
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to provide a satisfactory passenger or commercial Driver's Abstract
• Excellent customer service and a great attitude are a must
• A team player who takes pride in their work
