Job summary

Steele Auto Group is seeking a Service Advisor at South Shore GM in Bridgewater, NS. You will serve as the primary contact for customers, schedule vehicle maintenance, and communicate with technicians to ensure timely repairs.

You will prepare estimates, manage work orders, and keep customers informed throughout the process. The role emphasizes strong customer service, excellent communication, and the ability to generate accurate repair quotations, while building lasting dealership

Qualifications

• Demonstrated excellence in customer service and communication.
• Experience assisting customers in a service environment is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers as they enter the service area.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair intake and scheduling with technicians.
• Explain recommended services and estimated costs to customers.
• Prepare and manage repair orders with accurate problem descriptions.
• Keep customers informed on progress and expected return times.
• Maintain accurate automotive records and documentation.

As a Service Advisor, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of the service department at South Shore GM. Your responsibilities will include serving as the primary point of contact for customers, scheduling and coordinating vehicle maintenance and repair services, communicating with technicians regarding repair needs, and providing clear explanations of recommended services. You will also manage work orders, provide accurate cost estimates, keep customers informed throughout the repair process, and help ensure every customer receives a professional and positive dealership experience.

How you will make an impact:

• Determine automotive problems and services by listening to customers' descriptions of symptoms and clarifying descriptions of problems
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor
• Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required
• Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates and answering questions and concerns
• Maintain automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned

• You have previous experience with parts and/or service
• You bring strong customer service skills in person as well as over the phone
• You have experience using Microsoft Office software
• You bring a positive attitude and excellent work ethic
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driver's abstract
