Responsibilities

• Answer telephone, coordinate inquiries, and schedule appointments.
• Schedule shop work efficiently according to dealership policy.
• Maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Open, process, and close daily repair orders.
• Communicate the status of shop repairs to the next shift advisor.
• Ensure compliance with OHSA standards and safety.
• Check on progress of repairs and contact customers regarding changes.

Job Description

Tallman Truck Centre Limited is looking for a Service Advisor for our Oshawa location

Reporting to the Service Manager, this position is responsible for scheduling service repair work in a busy service department and following the progress of repairs throughout the day.

Job Responsibilities:

• Answers telephone, coordinates incoming inquiries, and schedules appointments.
• Schedules shop work as efficiently as possible in accordance with dealership policy.
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customer and suppliers.
• Opens, processes, and closes daily repair orders.
• Communicates carefully and completely with the next shift advisor by an agreed-upon method (i.e. Email, notes, verbally) re: status of shop.
• Ensures an overall safe work environment for all personnel and works in compliance with OHSA standards.
• Check on progress of repairs and contact customers regarding changes in estimate or promised time.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Completion of Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in Heavy Truck or Automotive Industry is preferred/asset.
• Valid G Driver’s License.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills – ADP/CDK and Microsoft Office experience an asset.
• Professional and positive attitude with strong customer focus.
• Highly motivated individual and ability to work in a fast paced work environment.
