Job summary

Canadian Tire Stores is seeking a Service Advisor to work in a fast-paced Automotive Service Centre, directly communicating with customers and staff to manage maintenance and repair needs. The role emphasizes customer trust, clear communication and efficient service scheduling in a on-site Canadian Tire dealership environment.

Requirements include automotive knowledge, ability to work days and weekends (no nights or holidays), strong interpersonal skills, and a valid driver's licence.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of automotive mechanics and vehicle systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, delegate and follow-up on daily tasks.
• Valid driver’s licence for province of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist and thank customers in a friendly manner, over the phone and in person.
• Offer professional and knowledgeable advice to build customer trust and loyalty.
• Listen actively to identify customer’s concerns and problems with regards to repair and maintenance of their vehicle.
• Prepare work orders and review the estimated costs with the customers.
• Manage customers’ expectations of when their vehicle will be ready.
• Act as a liaison between customers and garage employees.
• Schedule service appointments.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Requirements / Skills

• General knowledge of automotive mechanics and vehicle systems
• Ability to work shifts (days & week-ends NO Nights or holidays)
• Approachable and friendly
• Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying item.
• Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to plan, organize, delegate and follow-up on daily tasks
• Valid driver’s licence for province of employment
• Good working knowledge of COSTAR (asset)
• Experience in a similar role (asset)

Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
