Job summary

Petroglyph Development Group is seeking an enthusiastic Food & Beverage Server to deliver warm, friendly service in a fast-paced setting. Under the Food & Beverage Lead, you’ll guide guests through the menu, take orders, and ensure accurate POS transactions while maintaining a neat and inviting dining area.

Minimum one year serving in high-volume environments is required; high school diploma or equivalent is accepted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume establishment.
• Bartending experience is an asset.
• Willing to obtain Serving it Right Certification and Gaming worker registration.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to guests in an upbeat, positive manner.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items available.
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests and provides recommendations.
• Delivers items to guests from bar and kitchen promptly.
• Restocks, cleans and organizes related work areas.
• Processes all cash and credit card transactions using POS system.
• Ensures accurate cash handling and balances sales at shift end.
• Clears dishes and cleans tables.
• Ensures compliance with licensing laws and health and safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

Under the general direction of the Food and Beverage Lead & F&B Manager, this position will be responsible for providing food and beverage service with an upbeat and positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides exceptional customer service to guests in an upbeat, positive and professional manner;
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items available;
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests in a friendly manner and provides recommendations to guests on special menu;
• Delivers food and beverage items to guests from the bar and kitchen in a prompt manner;
• Restocks, cleans and organizes all related work equipment and areas;
• Processes all cash and credit card transactions utilizing the P.O.S. system;
• Ensures accurate cash handling and balancing of sales and/or cash float at the end of the shift;
• Clears dirty dishes, empty glassware and cleans tables properly;
• Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualification Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent working experience;
• Minimum one (1) year of serving experience in a high-volume establishment;
• Bartending experience - an asset
• Willing to obtain & maintain Serving it Right Certification, and Gaming worker registration
