Job summary

Go2hr is hiring for servers and bartenders in Kelowna. We welcome Canadians, permanent residents, students and those with valid Canadian work permits. Responsibilities include providing excellent service, handling POS, and upholding beverage service standards.

Roles can be full- or part-time, with 14–35 hours per week and $18.25 per hour plus tips. Training and a professional work environment are provided.

Qualifications

• At least a year of experience in a restaurant, banquet facility, winery, or similar environment.
• Able to withstand extended periods of standing and other physically demanding conditions.
• Able to operate in a high pressure environment and remain calm in urgent situations.
• Able to work independently.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as overtime from time to time.
• Holds a Serving It Right certification and ensures responsible service of alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to ensure every guest has a memorable experience.
• Process sales of food and beverages via the Point-of-Sale system and handle payments.
• Perform opening, closing, and cleaning tasks as instructed.
• Stock service supplies and maintain a professional uniform appearance.
• Encourage item upsells and apply discounts per policies.
• Support the maintenance of the Responsible Beverage Service Program.

Servers and Bartenders

• We are looking for full- and part-time servers and bartenders to join our team.
• We are open to Canadians, Permanent Residents, Students and those who have a valid work permit.
• Provide excellent customer serviceto ensure that every guest has a memorable experience.
• Support the maintenance of the Responsible Beverage Service Program.
• Ensure that all beverages and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, and serving standards.
• Adhere to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Perform all opening, closing, and cleaning tasks as instructed.
• Encourage upselling of items and process discounts according to organizational policies.
• Process the sale of food and beverages via the Point-of-Sale system.
• Accept payments and reconcile daily cash outs and floats.
• Stock service supplies, including to go cups, straws, etc.
• Ensure uniform is clean and appearance is professional, according to uniform guidelines.
