Job summary

WinSport is seeking a server/bartender to deliver high‑quality food and beverage service at the Hockey House and EIGHTYEIGHT Bar & Grill. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, upholding WinSport's values of Safety, Integrity, Belonging, Inspiration and Sustainability.

You will be responsible for opening/closing duties, serving guests promptly and maintaining bar and floor areas. ProServe certification and cash handling experience are preferred; evening/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service environment.
• ProServe certification required.
• Cash handling experience is an asset.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, including blackout periods.

Responsibilities

• Open and close duties for designated areas.
• Provide prompt and efficient service to guests.
• Maintain bar and floor areas to presentation standards.
• Administer the beverage service according to AGLC policies.
• Ensure opening inventory is correct; manage transfers and record closing inventory.
• Process cash and credit card charges accurately.
• Perform housekeeping tasks and report damages or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain supplies and equipment within the departments.

What the role is about:

You have a strong desire to help people and to create memorable interactions with guests and co-workers. You will be a valued member of the Food & Beverage team responsible for serving F&B items for the Hockey House and EIGHTYEIGHT Bar & Grill. You are willing to learn and grow in you new role by supporting the event operations teams when required.

What you will be doing:

• Ensure opening and closing duties are completed to standard for all designated areas.
• Provide prompt and efficient service to guests.
• Maintain bar and floor areas to the standard required for presentation and cleanliness.
• Administer the beverage bar service according to AGLC laws relative to Canada Olympic Park's operating policies and procedures.
• Ensure opening inventory is correct; add any transfers and ensure closing inventory is accurately counted and recorded.
• Ensure all cash and credit card charges are processed and settled accurately.
• Perform housekeeping tasks appropriate to the outlets and report any property damage or unsafe working conditions.
• Maintain supplies and equipment within the departments.

What you bring:

• Must be able to meet the minimum required hours per week, which are subject to change throughout the year based on operational needs.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays, including blackout periods, based on operational needs.
• ProServe certification.
• Previous experience in a related customer service role.
• Cash handling experience is an asset.
• Strong verbal communication skills when dealing with guests and staff.
• Display professionalism at all times.
• Possess a valid Alberta Class 5 Driver License (asset).

You will be:

• Fast paced environment.
• Evening and weekend work required.
• Prolonged standing, walking, lifting, squatting, twisting and bending.
• Frequent tasks requiring full mobility in the context of a physical environment, including pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs.
