Job summary

Sun Peaks Resort LLP on slope-side terrain is seeking a dedicated Banquet professional to lead a team and deliver exceptional experiences for guests at events and corporate meetings. You’ll leverage years of banquet experience, excellent organizational skills, and strong interpersonal abilities to motivate staff and ensure smooth service.

Role requires physical presence at Sun Peaks, with benefits including season passes and dining discounts.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional Banquet experience from start to finish.
• Follow Sun Peaks Grand Hotel Food and Beverage Banquet Standard of Service.
• Attend to setup, event execution, and tear down with meticulousness.
• Assist with food preparation and buffet setup while ensuring food safety.
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and take drink orders.
• Promote health and safety regulations at all times.
• Assist in other F&B outlets as business volumes dictate.
• Deliver an elevated guest experience in our F&B outlets and events.
• Coordinate with event organizers and leadership to resolve issues.

Compensation Information: $18.25 per hour

Physical Requirement: Medium; work activities involve handling loads up to 20kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Primary Responsibilities:

Service/Operations:

• Responsible for providing an exceptional Banquet experience from start to finish.
  • Follows the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel Food and Beverage Banquet Standard of Service.
  • Attention to detail from set up, event execution, and tear down.
  • Assist with food and table preparation before the event begins.
  • Set up buffet with food presentation standards and practices while ensuring food safe handling is in order.
  • Food, wine and beverage knowledge.
  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, open wine and take drink orders from Guests.
  • Shows a passion for hospitality, service and food.
  • Health & Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times.
  • Assists in any F&B Department Outlet as business volumes dictate.

Guest Experience:

• Deliver an elevated experience for our guests within our Food and Beverage Outlets.
  • Determine & ensure exceptional service delivery while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Accommodates all guests and is responsible for replenishing buffet food, refilling beverages, and removing dirty dishes from the tables.
  • Brings any guest concerns to the Banquet Leadership team and or event organizers.
  • Act as an ambassador of the Hotel & Sun Peaks with the ability to promote internal and external events.

  • Complete all tasks to help facilitate a smooth and efficient event from start to finish.
  • Clean up banquet room after the event ends and assist with inventory, food storage, and closing duty task as assigned.
  • Capable of assisting in emergency situations making prompt decisions in the best interest of the guest and the Hotel.
