Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking an SEO Strategist to own search for roofing clients across markets. You will lead technical SEO, keyword strategy, and content priorities, coordinating with writers and AI to produce drafts.

You will ensure visibility in AI search alongside traditional results and manage local SEO for multi-location clients. The role requires 3+ years of hands-on SEO, fluency with GA4/Screaming Frog/Ahrefs, and strong English communication for US clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on SEO experience.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for roofing or similar multi-location businesses is a strong plus.

As SEO Strategist, Roofing you own search for a book of roofing clients (roofing contractors operating across several markets): the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring
