Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency seeking an SEO Manager, Veterinary, to own search for a portfolio of veterinary clients: strategic roadmap, content priorities, and ranking narrative. You will be the voice at the table, making calls.

You will handle technical SEO, keyword strategy, and content coordination with writers and AI. You’ll optimize for Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and traditional organic results while coordinating multi-location SEO.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO with audits and fixes.
• Proficient in GA4, Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Experience in an agency setting handling multiple clients.
• Excellent spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• Experience in veterinary or multi-location businesses is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO for veterinary clients including crawl, indexation, schema.
• Develop keyword strategy and on-page optimization with writers/AI.
• Improve visibility in AI search and traditional organic results.
• Manage local search and multi-location SEO for clients.
• Provide GA4/Search Console reporting and quarterly roadmaps.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency. As SEO Manager, Veterinary you own search for a book of veterinary clients (veterinary groups and multi-clinic practices): the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for veterinary or similar multi-location businesses is a strong plus.
