Job summary

Mozilla is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain automation for workplace systems, connecting collaboration tools and AI workflows. You will implement secure onboarding/offboarding and partner with IT, Security, and People teams to embed IAM/SSO standards through automation.

You will pilot AI capabilities, develop integrations with GenAI tools, and contribute to a library of reusable templates while collaborating with senior engineers on scalable, API-first architecture.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of software engineering, systems integration or workplace technology development.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Python, JavaScript/Apps Script, Bash or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian) and interest in AI workflows (LLMs, agents).
• Understanding IAM/SSO (Okta, SAML/OIDC/SCIM) or willingness to grow in this area.
• Experience with CI/CD, workflow orchestration, and self-service delivery models that leverage agents or automation.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and cross-functional communication skills.
• Growth mindset and interest in agentic flows and responsible integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scripts, APIs, and workflow automations that power key workplace systems — collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian) and identity platforms (Okta).
• Develop lightweight services or integrations that connect collaboration, GenAI-tools (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) and internal systems, enabling agentic flows that reduce manual work.
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability for automation and AI workflows; troubleshoot issues and improve reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Contribute to secure onboarding, off-boarding, and mover workflows across access, permissions and SaaS tools with automation and safe handoffs.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, and People teams to embed IAM/SSO standards through automation and guardrails.
• Pilot projects for new AI capabilities: integrate LLMs & agents, track usage, build user-focused flows.
• Contribute to code-review, documentation of shared libraries, and reusable integration templates.
• Partner with senior engineers to modernize workplace systems through API-first design and scalable architectures.
