Job summary

Workday Vancouver is seeking a Senior Engineer to own the end-to-end design, implementation, and product integration of our intelligent agents. You will lead the brain-to-product orchestration across React frontends and backend services, ensuring privacy, latency, and cost goals are met at global scale.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions for multi-agent systems, and collaborate with Product, UX, ML, and platform teams to deliver high-impact HR and Finance workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years with backend web frameworks (Python FastAPI, Flask, or Django preferred).
• 2+ years integrating large models (LLMs) and modern AI APIs into production.
• 1+ years designing and scaling AI orchestration architectures (multi-agent or tool-calling).
• 4+ years using cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) to deploy scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design, implementation, and product integration of intelligent agents.
• Work across React frontends, backend microservices, APIs, data models, and CI/CD.
• Define and maintain agent orchestration, routing, and guardrails for privacy and explainability.
• Lead high-visibility projects, mentor engineers, and present designs in reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, ML, and platform teams to deliver product-facing AI features.
