Job summary

Appnovation Technologies, a leading AI product company headquartered in Canada, seeks a seasoned Product Owner to drive demand, priorities, and capability backlogs for web platforms and CMS capabilities. You will translate stakeholder needs into requirements, epics, and acceptance criteria, while shaping business cases and roadmaps for platform evolution.

You will partner with platform owners and engineers to deliver improvements, drive platform adoption, and ensure technical quality.

Qualifications

• Must have 8+ years in product management, ownership, or web platform management.
• Deep knowledge of CMS, web platforms (traditional, headless, composable).
• Experience with page builders, components libraries, design systems, and SEO/analytics.
• Familiarity with APIs, hosting/CDN, CI/CD, security, privacy, and SAFe/agile environments.

Owns the demand, priorities, and capability backlog for web platforms and supporting products. Translates stakeholder and delivery-team needs into requirements, business cases, and prioritized roadmaps. Partners with platform owners and engineering teams to drive platform improvements, adoption, and measurable value. Serves as the Technical Product Owner, the bridge between business needs and development execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the demand intake, priorities, and capability backlog for web platforms and content management system (CMS) capabilities.
• Translate stakeholder and delivery-team needs into requirements, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop business cases and prioritized roadmaps for new and evolving platform capabilities.
• Lead CMS and web platform evaluation and migration decisions, including build-vs-buy and vendor strategy.
• Partner with platform owners and the Web Platforms Engineer to drive platform improvements and technical quality.
• Drive adoption of platform capabilities, including artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled content authoring and workflow.
• Define success measures (adoption, publishing efficiency, site performance, content reuse) and report measurable value to leadership.

What we are looking for

Must-Have:

• 8+ years in product management, product ownership, or web platform management, including end-to-end ownership of an enterprise CMS or web platform.
• Strong command of web platforms and CMS, including traditional, headless, and composable models.
• Understanding of page builders, component libraries, templates, and design systems.
• Working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO), generative engine optimization (GEO), accessibility, performance, analytics, and marketing technology integrations.
• Familiarity with application programming interfaces (APIs), hosting and content delivery networks (CDN), continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), security, and privacy considerations.
• Experience in Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in a regulated environment (for example, medical, legal, and regulatory review of web content).
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification.
