Job summary

Appnovation, a Vancouver-based AI product company with global teams, is seeking a seasoned Product Manager to own web platforms and CMS capabilities. You will translate business needs into clear requirements, drive backlogs, and collaborate with engineers to deliver scalable, AI-enhanced content solutions.

You will work in an environment embracing Agile or SAFe practices, ensuring secure, high-performing web experiences and strong stakeholder value through measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management, ownership or web platform management with end-to-end CMS/web platform ownership.
• Strong command of traditional, headless and composable web platforms.
• Understanding of SEO, GEO, accessibility, performance, analytics and marketing tech integrations.
• Experience with APIs, hosting, CDN, CI/CD, security and privacy considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own demand intake, priorities and capability backlog for web platforms and CMS capabilities.
• Translate stakeholder needs into requirements, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Develop business cases and roadmaps for platform capabilities.
• Lead CMS and web platform evaluation, build-vs-buy decisions and vendor strategy.
• Partner with platform owners and engineers to improve platform quality and adoption of AI-enabled content workflows.
• Define success measures and report value to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the demand intake, priorities, and capability backlog for web platforms and content management system (CMS) capabilities.
• Translate stakeholder and delivery-team needs into requirements, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop business cases and prioritized roadmaps for new and evolving platform capabilities.
• Lead CMS and web platform evaluation and migration decisions, including build-vs-buy and vendor strategy.
• Partner with platform owners and the Web Platforms Engineer to drive platform improvements and technical quality.
• Drive adoption of platform capabilities, including artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled content authoring and workflow.
• Define success measures (adoption, publishing efficiency, site performance, content reuse) and report measurable value to leadership.

Must-Have

What we are looking for

• 8+ years in product management, product ownership, or web platform management, including end-to-end ownership of an enterprise CMS or web platform.
• Strong command of web platforms and CMS, including traditional, headless, and composable models.
• Understanding of page builders, component libraries, templates, and design systems.
• Working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO), generative engine optimization (GEO), accessibility, performance, analytics, and marketing technology integrations.
• Familiarity with application programming interfaces (APIs), hosting and content delivery networks (CDN), continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), security, and privacy considerations.
• Experience in Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in a regulated environment (for example, medical, legal, and regulatory review of web content).
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification.
