Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a senior process mechanical engineer and project manager to join their team in Burnaby. The candidate will focus on municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure projects, leveraging their expertise in process engineering and project management. Key responsibilities include leading teams, managing client relationships, and overseeing project delivery for various design and construction tasks. The ideal applicant will have a minimum of 10 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years progressive experience in municipal wastewater treatment plant planning, design and construction.
• Holds a valid driver's license.
• Completion of a Master’s or PhD degree in water/wastewater treatment is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead as Process-Mechanical Lead for municipal wastewater treatment projects.
• Provide technical direction and foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior staff and cultivate a culture of learning.
• Drive client engagement and contribute to proposals.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and quality assurance processes.
• Conduct quality assurance on own projects.
• Manage technical tasks including design work and feasibility studies.
