Job summary

MacDonald Search Group partners with a leading food manufacturing company to recruit a Warehouse Manager for Brandon, MB. You will oversee all warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring smooth flow of goods on and off site while leading a sizable, unionized workforce.

You will collaborate with Purchasing, Production, QA and Scheduling, drive KPI performance and budgeting, and ensure compliance with HACCP and related regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in logistics or warehouse operations within a unionized environment.
• Deep knowledge of transportation, inventory control, and distribution centre operations.
• Experience with ERP/WMS systems (SAP/EWM preferred).
• Proven ability to lead, develop teams, and manage labour relations.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP) and regulatory requirements.
• Background in supply chain management or a related field is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead all logistics operations including shipping, receiving, and carrier coordination.
• Oversee inventory control, cycle counts, and material tracking.
• Manage a large unionized workforce of 100+ employees.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, QA, and Scheduling to support flow.
• Act as primary contact for cross-border logistics and regulatory compliance.
• Drive performance through KPI tracking and budgeting.
• Oversee training programs and workforce planning.
• Support audits and food safety programs (HACCP, BRC, health & safety).
• Participate in site leadership and strategic planning.
