Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate cybersecurity professional with a focus on Vulnerability Management. The Vulnerability Management Group (VMG) is looking for a proactive team player who is eager to take initiative and collaborate effectively within the organization. This role involves significant interaction with internal and external stakeholders to achieve VMG's strategic goals across various technical platforms. The ideal candidate will possess relevant industry qualifications and certifications in vulnerability management, along with strong relationship management skills to drive process improvements and resolve technical challenges in a high-performance, inclusive, and innovative culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate risk exposure, trends, solutions, and strategies to keep RBC’s vulnerability and compliance capabilities current and effective against evolving threats.
- Facilitate change management activities with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of vulnerability management initiatives.
- Collaborate as a trusted partner to plan, manage, and execute projects aligned with strategic goals.
- Support automation and orchestration efforts to optimize team productivity and reduce routine tasks.
- Assist in the integration and global expansion of vulnerability management practices across RBC and subsidiaries.
- Document and enforce security improvements that balance risk mitigation with business operations, efficiency, and innovation.
- Monitor action plans and milestones for risk remediation based on security assessments, vulnerability reports, audits, and identified security gaps.
Qualifications
Must-have
- Passion for Vulnerability Management and curiosity about cybersecurity trends.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, governance, and a broad range of Information Security topics.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, Crowdstrike).
- Knowledge of developer tools and environments.
- Effective partnership skills with diverse stakeholders, including technical teams and vendors, with strong communication, facilitation, and negotiation abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources.
Nice-to-have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
- Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CRISC, GCIH, GEVA, GCSA).
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Mural, or Lucidchart.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD architectures.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (Azure, AWS) and DevOps workflows.
