Job summary

LMI Technologies in Burnaby, BC is seeking a Vision Software Developer II to design and optimize core 3D computer vision algorithms and sensor calibration for the GoPxL platform.

You will own features from prototype to production on sensor hardware, collaborating with Product Management, Vision Specialists, and Application Engineers to ensure performance, reliability, and maintainability across Windows and embedded Linux.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development focusing on C++ applications.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative engineering discipline.
• Strong foundation in modern C++ (C++14/17/20), STL, OO design, and memory management.
• Experience with version control (Git), build systems (CMake), unit testing (GoogleTest).
• Strong problem-solving skills and collaboration in an Agile team.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize core 3D computer vision algorithms and sensor calibration routines.
• Take ownership from concept to production deployment on sensor hardware.
• Refactor math routines for performance and memory efficiency.
• Collaborate with PM, Vision Specialists, and Application Engineers to translate customer needs into technical stories.
• Write automated tests and participate in code reviews.
• Cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless full-stack integration.
