Job summary

LMI Technologies in Burnaby, BC, is seeking a Software Developer II to help advance the GoPxL product platform. You will design, implement, and optimize features in C++, focusing on performance, memory management, and robust interfaces for Windows and Linux embedded environments.

You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with product management, and mentor teammates while refining the codebase and contributing to the product roadmap in a fast-paced industrial vision setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development in C++.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, CS, or related field.
• Strong modern C++ skills: STL, OOP, data structures.
• Experience with multi-threaded, concurrent systems and debugging race conditions.
• Experience with hardware-software interfaces; TCP/UDP sockets.
• Git, CI/CD, and GoogleTest experience; excellent English.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, modern C++ for sensor platform features.
• Own features from concept to deployment with refactoring and optimization.
• Collaborate with Product Management to define technical stories and Jira processes.
• Dive into concurrency, memory management, and cross-platform (Windows/Linux).
• Collaborate with Front-End, Vision Engineers, and QA for full-stack delivery.
• Write robust 24/7 factory automation code and lead peer code reviews.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and product evolution.
