Job summary

Pleora Technologies in Ottawa, Canada is seeking an Embedded Software Developer to design, develop, and implement software drivers, libraries, and applications for embedded video interface solutions in machine vision, defense/security, and medical imaging markets.

You will work with ARM-based embedded platforms, real-time operating systems (Windows, Linux, QNX or others), and contribute to specifications and documentation while integrating third-party software and performing unit testing.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years’ experience in a software role.
• Bachelor´s or Master’s Degree, or equivalent education in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Build software for embedded systems with ARM processors, real-time imaging.
• Lead project planning by identifying tasks, effort, and cost estimates.
• Provide technical support to the engineering project team and product management.
• Define design specifications and document features and subsystems.
• Integrate 3rd party software and complete unit tests within the product roadmap.
• Collaborate on system integration and root-cause analysis.
