Reporting to the Design Director, the successful candidate will proactively identify and maintain a roadmap of opportunities across the Experience Design organization to enhance collaboration, unity, efficiency, and effectiveness. The Sr Manager will lead 1-2 ICs and collaborate with the Director-level & Head of Experience Design to scope, initiate, and execute ongoing operational training initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and create digital experiences prioritizing user and business needs over technology constraints.
  2. Understand user flows, interaction models, navigation, and usage.
  3. Apply user-centered design processes, conduct user research and testing, develop wireframes and task flows.
  4. Collaborate with development teams to produce intuitive, user-friendly software, applying graphic design, programming, and web technologies.
  5. Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and user research.
  6. Select and implement usability testing techniques.
  7. Gather requirements and develop sketches, wireframes, visual designs, and HTML/CSS prototypes.
  8. Use design artifacts like wireframes, flows, and customer journeys to communicate ideas.
  9. Create prototypes to convey initial concepts.
  10. Transform user and business needs into digital experiences.
  11. Develop sitemaps, information architecture, wireframes, and prototypes.
  12. Promote a culture aligned with BMO's purpose, values, and strategy, modeling behaviors accordingly.
  13. Ensure diversity and inclusion are integrated into work practices.
  14. Set inspirational goals, define outcomes, and ensure accountability.
  15. Build collaborative, high-performing teams, attracting and developing top talent.
  16. Enhance team performance through recognition, coaching, and support.
  17. Operate at a group/enterprise level, advising senior leaders and stakeholders.
  18. Address complex, ambiguous situations with creative expertise.
  19. Implement adaptive changes based on trends.
  20. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
