Job summary

Manulife’s Underwriting team seeks seasoned Senior Underwriting Consultants for its High Net Worth unit. You will assess risk, collaborate with sales and head office, and drive decisions for affluent clients from a remote Canadian footprint.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of underwriting experience.
Life signing authority of $5,000,000+.
Experience in high net worth market.
Sales and relationship focus with business development drive.
Pursuing or completed FALU, FLMI and ACS designations.
Strong medical terminology knowledge (physiology, anatomy, pharmacology).
Understanding non-medical risks and their impact on mortality.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with sales and head office to provide high-quality decisions for high-net-worth customers.
Conduct risk assessment per Manulife's standards.
Maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners.
Deliver superior customer experience with meaningful interactions.
Ensure compliance with consumer laws on risk, confidentiality, and disclosure.
Identify and propose solutions to underwriting processes and issues.
