Job summary

Coeur Mining's Rainy River operation in Ontario seeks a Senior Underground Project Geologist to lead the underground geology group under the Chief Geologist. You will manage ore control, resource definition drilling, and geological modeling to maximize resource recovery.

You will mentor staff, ensure QA/QC, and collaborate daily with Engineering, Mine Operations, and Contractors while upholding safety and best practices in a residential mining environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering or related field is required.
• Strong interdepartmental communication skills are essential for cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven abilities to lead, manage and mentor teams in a mining environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the underground geology team and oversee ore control, drilling, and modeling.
• Align work with Chief Geologist to achieve departmental and operational goals.
• Maintain safe working practices and enforce QA/QC procedures.
• Daily communication with Engineering, Mine Operations and Contractors.
• Oversee data management, validation, and reporting (month end).
• Mentor non-technical staff and support production efforts.
