Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited currently seeks a Maintenance Electrical Supervisor for underground operations at Detour Lake Mine. You will lead the maintenance team for all mining electrical activities, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and high equipment availability.

The role requires extensive underground mining experience and strong supervisory skills, with hands-on knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, and CMMS tools. On-site living arrangements are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Extensive underground mining experience is required.
• Proven supervisory and leadership skills.
• Experience with SAP, JDE or CMMS is advantageous.
• Knowledge of low/high voltage distribution and PLC troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with underground mining equipment.
• Proficient with MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the underground maintenance workforce.
• Oversee electrical maintenance and construction to maximize equipment availability.
• Develop and implement standards that meet regulatory requirements.
• Assist in maintenance cost forecasts, budgets, and monthly reports.
• Schedule and plan electrical activities to minimize downtime.
• Oversee installation of electrical equipment (substations, distribution, PLCs, VFDs, fiber optics).
