Job summary

Small Axe Studios, based in Burnaby, BC, is seeking a UI/UX designer to shape the player-facing experience for a new sports IP. You will own the atomic design system in Figma and refine player flows, interactions, and information hierarchies across platforms.

Collaborating with Design, Art, and Engineering, you will translate complex gameplay into intuitive interfaces and iterate to maximize usability and emotional impact.

Qualifications

• AAA game or equivalent project shipped.
• Strong UI/UX portfolio.
• Figma with Atomic Design components.
• Experience collaborating across Design, Art, and Engineering.
• Excellent communication and feedback skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the atomic design system in Figma.
• Design player flows, wireframes, and information hierarchy.
• Translate complex gameplay into intuitive UI.
• Iterate to improve usability and emotional impact.
• Guide UI across platforms for parity and quality.
