Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Surveyor to join our Transportation team in Edmonton, AB. This role focuses on accurate construction layout, data collection, and leadership of survey assistants on roadway projects.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma in Geomatics, 10+ years of roadway experience in Canada, and proficiency with Trimble and Civil 3D. Travel across Western Canada and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with roadway construction surveys and field data collection.
• Knowledge of Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors survey requirements is an asset.
• Ability to travel Western Canada for project sites.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate construction layout and data collection surveys per standards.
• Direct and supervise survey assistants, provide guidance and safety leadership.
• Communicate effectively with project manager, contractors, and clients.
• Process and review field data, organize large datasets for projects.
• Extract digital design information from roadway drawings for construction layout.
• Understand measurement methods and item quantities for bids and digital surface models.
