Job summary

Dillon Consulting Limited’s Transportation group seeks an Intermediate/Senior Transportation Designer/Drafter to focus on highway infrastructure projects in Manitoba. Location options include Winnipeg or Brandon offices, or surrounding areas aligned with project needs.

You will contribute from early planning through detailed design to tender-ready documentation and construction support, guiding junior staff and coordinating with utilities and authorities.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology required.
• 8+ years of transportation design/drafting experience.
• C.E.T. designation in Manitoba is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development of functional, preliminary, and detailed design deliverables for transportation infrastructure projects.
• Prepare design drawings and models for highways, interchanges, arterial roadways, intersections, roundabouts, and related facilities.
• Develop alignments, profiles, cross-sections, corridor/earthworks models, grading, drainage concepts/details, and roadway features.
• Produce and QC transportation drawing sets per client CAD standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and technologists to ensure designs are practical and buildable.
• Assist with construction-phase support, including RFIs and field coordination.
