Phasor Engineering in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead Transmission Line and Substation engineering projects from initiation through completion. Reporting to PMO, you will oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource coordination, risk management, quality, and client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• P.Eng. designation or eligibility for registration.
• 8+ years of project management experience in engineering consulting, utilities, EPC, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing Transmission Line, Substation, or other utility infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, risk management, and project controls.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; travel to project sites.
• PMP certification or willingness to obtain (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of Transmission Line and Substation engineering projects.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk registers.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and overall financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships through regular communication and project updates.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, drafting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and field services.
• Monitor project milestones and proactively identify and mitigate risks or scheduling conflicts.
• Facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, distribute meeting minutes, and ensure action items are completed.
• Coordinate project documentation, technical deliverables, document control, change management, and project reporting.
• Track project financials, including forecasting, purchase orders, invoicing support, and contract administration.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with client requirements, applicable engineering standards, and Phasor's Quality Management System.
• Provide technical guidance and project leadership while supporting collaboration across multiple departments.
• Support proposal development, project planning activities, and business development initiatives as required.
• Promote and maintain Phasor's commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Travel to project sites as required.

The Role

Phasor Engineering is currently seeking a
Senior Project Manager
to join our growing team in Calgary, Alberta. Reporting to the Project Management Office, this position is responsible for leading the successful delivery of Transmission Line and Substation engineering projects from initiation through completion.

Working closely with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams, the Senior Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project execution, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource coordination, risk management, quality, and client communication. Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration with a Canadian provincial engineering association.
• Minimum 8 years of project management experience within engineering consulting, utilities, EPC, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing Transmission Line, Substation, or other utility infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, risk management, and project controls.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with the ability to travel to project sites.

Preferred

• PMP certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar scheduling software.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Familiarity with EPC, utility, transmission, or substation projects across North America.
