Job summary

WSP Canada is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead high-voltage transmission design projects across Western Canada. You will guide the design team, develop routes, ensure quality, and maintain client relationships across multiple assignments.

The role requires a PE license, a Civil/Mechanical/Electrical or Engineering Physics degree, and 10+ years in transmission design. Expect travel to client sites and field facilities, with opportunities to influence energy infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Engineering Physics from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of experience in transmission design for overhead High Voltage and Extra High Voltage lines.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-Lite.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of transmission line design projects (34.5kV-500kV) including new lines, relocations, rebuilds and upgrades.
• Prepare and review design deliverables and construction specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure client satisfaction and supervise project progress.
