Job Opportunity: Senior Transit Architect at STV

STV, a leading transportation and infrastructure company, is excited to offer an opportunity for a Senior Transit Architect in New York, NY. Join our team to work on innovative projects shaping the future of transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with architectural/engineering teams to prepare project documents focused on transportation.
2. Lead the initial and detailed design phases, collaborating with various disciplines, clients, and consultants.
3. Prepare architectural plans and supervise their execution.
4. Analyze design and construction systems, conduct planning studies, and develop construction details.
5. Research and write specifications, coordinating with manufacturers.
6. Conduct site and construction inspections, preparing reports.
7. Perform code analysis, select materials, and develop technical solutions.
8. Research, compile, and record information for project work, coordinating with other disciplines.
9. Plan, schedule, manage, and oversee project work.

Required Experience:

• Professional Degree in Architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch preferred).
• At least 15 years of experience as a project architect in the rail/transit sector.
• Experience in transit architecture, including stations and related facilities.
• Licensed Architect in New York State.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with OpenBuildings, Rhino, 3D Max, SketchUp, LEED accreditation (plus).
• Strong design, technical detailing, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with problem-solving skills, team-oriented mindset, and client focus.

Essential Duties:

• Define technical approach and design criteria with multiple disciplines.
• Lead and mentor architectural staff.
• Conduct investigations, studies, and analysis.
• Develop design details, plans, and specifications.
• Serve as a quality control reviewer.
• Utilize software to solve complex architectural problems.
• Contribute innovative designs and techniques.
• Stay current with codes and technologies like IBC, NFPA.
• Ensure compliance with standards, codes, and technical requirements.
• Review shop drawings and RFIs.

Compensation Range: $128,289.89 - $171,053.19
