Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience as an SDET or in automation testing.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming.
• 4+ years of hands-on automation using Java, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Maven, and Cucumber framework.
• 2+ years of API automation testing using Rest Assured.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, authentication, and JSON/XML.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain API automation frameworks from scratch.
• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java, TestNG and Selenium/Playwright.
• Design, develop, and execute API automation scripts using Rest Assured.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage for frontend (UI) and backend (API, database) components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Ensure timely delivery of automation test coverage as part of Agile sprints.
• Apply understanding of Generative AI platforms to test AI-driven features or utilize AI tools to optimize testing lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and quality metrics.
