Paralucent Inc in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a pragmatic QA Engineer to lead API testing, automation, and data validation for public-facing and internal government services in a hybrid environment.

You will design API tests with Postman/Thunder Client, build automation using Playwright and UFT, and run SQL queries to verify ETL results, while collaborating with product, backend, and DevOps to shift testing left and ensure accessibility, security, and auditability.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional QA or test engineering experience.
• Hands-on API testing with Postman and/or Thunder Client.
• Automation using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript) and UFT.
• Strong SQL skills for validating data across environments.
• CI/CD integration experience.

Responsabilidades

• Design and execute API test suites using Postman/Thunder Client.
• Develop and maintain automated tests with Playwright.
• Maintain UFT automation for legacy UI scenarios.
• Author and run SQL queries to validate backend data.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate non-functional requirements: performance basics, security, and accessibility.
• Triage defects and collaborate with engineers to reproduce and fix.
• Produce test plans, test cases, and data strategies.
• Mentor teams to raise automation maturity and testability.
