Role:

This position involves high-level qualification work. Under the guidance of technical specialists or engineers, you will find solutions to various complex technical problems using established methods. These tasks often involve systems and experimental equipment of complex nature, with methods rarely documented. You will work from general guidelines and have the opportunity to participate in testing highly complex production units or systems. Initiative is essential in performing these tasks.

Responsibilities / Tasks:

Metrology/Alignment

• Maintain traceability of measuring equipment through up-to-date records of use and calibration history.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to measuring instruments.
• Use precise measurement techniques to align components according to specifications.
• Understand geometric tolerancing principles.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025:2017 is an asset.
• Read and interpret electronic, electrical, or electromechanical schematics.
• Ensure process repeatability and understand measurement uncertainty levels.
• Perform quality control inspections of measurement and test equipment to confirm proper functioning.
• Possess relevant knowledge and experience as assigned.
• Demonstrate the ability to solve new and complex problems and show initiative.
• Have a strong knowledge of test equipment.
• Hold a DEC or equivalent in mechanical, electromechanical, electrical engineering, electronics, or related fields.
• Bring 10 to 15 years of relevant experience and knowledge.
• Fluency in spoken and written French is required; knowledge of English is an asset.

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessments for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
