Job summary

LGM Group (LGM North America) is seeking a Senior Technical Writer for Thunder Bay, Canada. You will produce maintenance and operation manuals, validate content, and coordinate information exchange across the Techpub team on site at the client facility in Thunder Bay.

You will mentor junior writers, participate in project meetings, and strengthen trust with the client while promoting LGM's expertise in railway and aerospace contexts.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, electronic or mechatronic, industrial engineering);
• Minimum 10 years experience in Technical Publication
• Knowledge of S1000D
• Experience in Aerospace sector of railway
• Previous experience in project management.
• Customer orientation: listening, understanding, clarifying, prescribing appropriate solutions and expertise.

Responsibilities

• Producing various types of technical publication (Maintenance manual, Operation Manuals,…)
• Participate in the validation process of technical writings content
• Be responsible of the information exchange between the teams, maintaining a common look and feel to all documentation produced

Position

Context

In order to strengthen the rapid development of LGM both in Toronto and Montreal we are looking for a Senior Technical Writer.

Your responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the TECHPUB/ILS Group Manager, your mission will be to produce different types of manuals (maintenance, operation, installation…) and be the resource person for the Techpub team in Thunderbay.

You will be based in our client facility in Thunderbay.

Your main tasks include:
