Job summary

LRO Staffing seeks a Senior Technical Writer for an on-site, two-year contract in the National Capital Region. The role supports sustainment planning and Business Case Analysis documentation, producing clear, accurate knowledge products that comply with government publishing guidelines.

The candidate should have eight or more years in technical writing for sustainment or BCA projects, experience managing related documents, and a valid Secret clearance, with English fluency essential.

Qualifications

Our Public Sector client has a requirement for a Senior Technical Writer, on an as-and-when-required basis, to support the development of sustainment planning and Business Case Analysis documentation and related knowledge products.

The successful candidate will provide senior-level technical writing support, gathering and analyzing information and producing clear, accurate and concise documentation in accordance with applicable publishing requirements.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Modifying, validating and compiling documents such as technical publications, specifications, equipment and system data lists, drawings and related documentation
• Gathering information, analyzing the subject matter and intended audience, and producing clear documentation
• Creating accurate, complete and concise documentation to communicate the needs of the requirement
• Following applicable governmental publishing guidelines

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in technical writing for sustainment planning or Business Case Analysis (BCA)-related projects
• Experience managing the development of sustainment planning or BCA-related documentation or knowledge products
• Must have a relevant combination of education, professional certification and experience
• Must hold a valid Secret security clearance
• Must meet applicable Controlled Goods requirements
• Must be fluent in English, orally and in writing
