Job summary

Quantum Technology Recruiting Inc. is seeking a hands-on Senior Technical Product Manager to drive modernization of a proprietary cloud-based ERP platform in the Greater Toronto Area.

You will own the product direction, strengthen development processes, and lead modernization while keeping the live system stable. The role requires coordinating with an India-based development team, translating business needs into technical requirements, managing the backlog, and partnering with senior leadership

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of experience in technical product management, software delivery, or complex business applications.
• Proven experience managing offshore or India-based development teams across time zones.
• Experience setting technical direction, reviewing estimates and driving accountability with development teams.
• Strong experience with ERP or complex enterprise business systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary day-to-day interface with the India-based development team.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements and actionable development work.
• Own and manage the product backlog, priorities, estimates and delivery expectations.
• Work directly with senior leadership and business stakeholders to define product direction and roadmap.
• Review technical estimates and hold the development team accountable for delivery.
• Own QA, UAT, regression testing and release management to ensure reliable production releases.
• Drive modernization and clean-up of the existing codebase while minimizing disruption to day-to-day operations.
• Help evaluate and guide the potential modernization of the existing PHP/Laravel backend toward Node.js.
• Identify opportunities to integrate AI into the platform and lead initiatives from concept through production.
• Establish a long-term product roadmap for the platform.
• Support future system integration initiatives, including potential M&A-related ERP integration.
• Help establish strong standards around engineering quality, application security, performance, monitoring and CI/CD.

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, technically capable Senior Technical Product Manager to drive the modernization and continued evolution of a proprietary cloud-based ERP platform.
You'll take ownership of the product direction, strengthen the development process, and lead the modernization of the platform while keeping the live system stable. You'll play a key role in making the platform more reliable, modern and AI-enabled, with potential opportunities to support future integration as the organization grows.

What You'll Own

What We're Looking For

• Approximately 10 years of experience in technical product management, software delivery, or complex business applications.
• Proven experience managing offshore or India-based development teams across time zones.
• Experience setting technical direction, reviewing estimates and driving accountability with development teams.
• Strong experience with ERP or complex enterprise business systems.
• Strong technical grounding in Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Azure/AWS and Git/GitHub.
• Ability to engage credibly with developers, review technical work and make sound technical decisions.
• A proven track record of modernizing legacy applications while maintaining a stable live production environment.
• Strong experience with QA, UAT, regression testing and release management.
• Comfortable using AI tools as part of your day-to-day work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with senior leadership and business stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear product and technical requirements.
• Comfortable taking ownership, making decisions and driving execution independently.

Strong Assets

• Experience integrating AI / LLM capabilities into enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Claude, OpenAI or Copilot.
• Laravel / PHP experience, particularly in a legacy or modernization environment.
• Experience modernizing a custom-built ERP rather than configuring a packaged ERP.
• Understanding of application security, performance, monitoring and CI/CD
• Experience with system integration in an M&A environment.
• Experience building AI-enabled enterprise applications.
