The Senior Technical Architect needs to be an individual with deep knowledge and experience. He will be a key player of the Center of Excellence for Citizen Developer with a role of Process Expert and Platform Architect. He focuses on providing guidance and expertise, identifying, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. He sets overarching direction for platforms and environment strategy, aligning with EA and development best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and represent the user’s needs.
• Align stakeholders around the product vision.
• Monitor, report, and improve product performance.
• Develop strong business and technical vision.
• Understand processes, be able to analyze and design high-level architecture.
• Design service implementation pathways through elegant architecture and automation flows.
• Leverage consulting, leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, and conflict resolution skills.
• Maintain attention to detail, analytical skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
• Explain technical challenges and solutions clearly to diverse audiences.
• Communicate effectively, both written and orally, providing excellent customer service.
• Organize, prioritize, plan, and deliver work on time.
• Solicit feedback regularly from citizen developers and IT teams to identify improvement areas.

Governance and Risk Management

• Participate in implementing policies and procedures to ensure application security, compliance, and alignment with IT strategy.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to citizen development, including data security, compliance, and system integration.
• Promote best practices for development, testing, and deployment among citizen developers.
• Foster collaboration through active relationship management with stakeholders.
• Enhance leadership skills with access to resources and latest technologies.
• Encourage a culture of problem solving and quality delivery.
• Transform problems into learning and growth opportunities.
• Create an environment based on trust, knowledge sharing, and team cohesion.

Critical Qualifications

• 8+ years in system technical and business analysis.
• Familiarity with low-code/no-code platform concepts.
• Post-secondary degree in Software/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices for IT Service Management.
• Energetic, persuasive, encouraging, and motivating personality.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in English and French.
• Stay updated on citizen development trends and technologies.
• Expertise with tools such as JIRA, MS Project, etc.

Communication and Collaboration

Act as a bridge between citizen developers, IT teams, and business stakeholders.

Foster a collaborative learning environment for citizen developers and IT professionals.

Provide guidance and support to navigate the development process.

Listen actively to the needs and challenges of stakeholders.
