Job summary

TIAP in Toronto is seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst, Technology and Venture Development to identify and evaluate new technology opportunities for TIAP programs, including Therapeutics Platform and Venture Builder initiatives. You will conduct literature reviews, market and patent analyses, prepare tech assessments, and present findings to the life sciences team.

The role involves developing tech advancement plans and budgets in collaboration with researchers and TIAP partners.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate degree in Life Sciences (PhD preferred).
• 1–3 years relevant work experience.
• Expertise in molecular biology, genetics, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Identify new technologies within TIAP membership for programs.
• Review literature, markets and patents for targets and platforms.
• Prepare tech assessments including due diligence, IP and market analysis.
• Present assessments to TIAP life sciences team.
• Help develop technology development plans and budgets with TIAP partners.
• Draft investment memos for potential companies or projects.
• Maintain internal databases and tracking systems.
• Represent TIAP at meetings and events.
• Support TIAP seminars, symposia, or conferences.
