TIAP - Toronto Innovation Acceleration Partners is seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst to identify and evaluate new technology opportunities for TIAP programs, including Therapeutics Platform and Venture Builder initiatives. You will perform technical/due diligence, market analysis and develop technology advancement plans to support commercialization and company creation.

Formación

• Post-graduate technical degree in the Life Sciences (PhD preferred).
• 1–3 years relevant work experience.
• In-depth knowledge of molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics, pharmacology or related disciplines with bench research experience.
• Exposure to basic principles and concepts related to drug discovery and development.
• Aptitude for analyzing early-stage life sciences technologies including technical, market due-diligence and intellectual property.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to improve research, diligence, analysis, and deliverables.
• Ability to interact with the academic research community and other stakeholders in a diplomatic and professional manner.

Responsabilidades

• Actively identify new technologies within the TIAP Membership to bring new projects into the life sciences portfolio and/or support company creation opportunities.
• Conduct systematic reviews of the scientific literature and databases (e.g., market research, clinical trials, patents) for targets, therapeutics, platform technologies and medical products.
• Prepare technology assessments including scientific/technical due diligence, IP evaluation, and market/competitive analysis.
• Present and defend technology assessments to senior TIAP life sciences team members.
• Assist senior team members in developing technology development plans and budgets with TIAP partners and scientists.
• Write and defend investment theses/memos for companies or projects under consideration.
• Maintain databases and internal tracking systems to support the life sciences team.
• Make recommendations for improving analytical processes, systems and reporting.
• Represent TIAP at local academic and industry meetings, and meet with researchers in collaboration with senior TIAP members.
• Assist with TIAP events such as seminars, symposia or conferences.
• Other duties as assigned.
