A reputable mid-sized public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join its growing Team. This is a high-impact role that offers a clear path to partnership for the right candidate. The Senior Tax Manager will lead tax engagements, provide high-level tax planning and advisory services, and oversee junior and intermediate staff. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in Canadian private company taxation and experience delivering complex tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a variety of client engagements across multiple industries
• Collaborate closely with partners on complex tax planning initiatives
• Review and finalize tax compliance files, including corporate, personal, and trust returns
• Prepare and review tax memorandums and advisory reports
• Conduct in-depth tax research on a variety of issues, including reorganizations and cross-border transactions
• Guide and supervise junior team members, offering mentorship and performance feedback
• Participate in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for clients
• Help identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to firm growth
• Effectively manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
• Promote a positive, team-oriented culture with a focus on professional development

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax Program or Master of Taxation (MTax)
• 8–10+ years of progressive tax experience within public practice, ideally in a mid-sized or national firm
• Proven experience in delivering complex tax planning strategies to owner-managed businesses
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, coach, and develop a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex tax concepts
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Proficiency in CaseWare, CaseView, and Taxprep
• Experience reviewing special tax projects and working with publicly listed and private companies is an asset
