Description:
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Senior Tax Manager to lead the Company’s efforts for ensuring compliance with International, federal, state, and local tax regulations.This is a new role to Payscale that will have the ability to shape the direction of the tax function as the Company continues to expand its operations domestically and globally.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare annual global income tax provision calculations and disclosures, including communication with internal teams and external auditors.
- Manage global income tax compliance and documentation of tax positions.
- Responding to and resolving tax inquiries, notices, audits from different tax authorities, including federal income tax, state income tax, state sales and use tax, Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), and foreign income taxes.
- Ensure the filings for sales/use tax, VAT, GST, B&O and other gross receipts are completed on a timely basis.
- Reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate tax reporting in financial statements.
- Identifies significant tax challenges and/or opportunities related to the company’s operations, including research and development of solutions/strategies.
- Identifies and implements process improvements and procedures for the tax function.
- Reviewing and providing guidance to accounting staff with the preparation of tax related close reconciliations.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting accounting/taxation or equivalent.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years directly related tax experience, preferably with a combination of public and private experience.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Experience working for a SaaS company a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740, income tax laws, and the ability to research tax issues
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills.
- Able to discern alternatives, make objective recommendations, and understand how to work with other business groups to accomplish goals.
- Excellent communication skills in dealing with external and internal customers including upper levels of management.
Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is$114,200 - $171,200, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus of10%.If you are hired atPayscale, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typicalin order toallow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
