The group provides thoughtful counsel on estate structuring and multi-generational wealth planning and has built a data-driven institutional investment platform that allocates capital across asset classes on a global basis. The successful applicant will join a team exclusively focused on delivering exceptional service and investment returns to a select number of families and institutions.
The Opportunity :
As a Senior Tax & Estate Strategist, you'll be responsible for providing comprehensive wealth planning services to Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients.
You'll play a key role in developing and implementing customized financial strategies that align with clients' long-term goals, encompassing areas such as tax & estate planning, retirement planning and intergenerational wealth transfer.
What You'll Be Doing :
Relationship Management & Client Consultation
- Act as a key resource for UHNW clients and their advisors
- Meet with clients to understand their financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment preferences. Provide personalized advice on optimizing for tax efficiency and other client specific goals.
- Demonstrate a consultative and collaborative value-added approach in client conversations, acting as a subject matter expert to facilitate the desired client experience.
Financial Planning & Projections
- Develop cash flow models to project future liquidity needs and investment funding.
- Aligning asset allocation with long-term financial goals & risk tolerance.
- Produce written reports and wealth plans for complex client situations, advising on wealth planning opportunities, strategies and issues.
External Investment Tracking & Consolidated Reporting
- Monitor private equity, hedge funds, direct investments and real estate holdings.
- Generate consolidated statements and portfolio reviews that aggregate all financial assets across different entities and structures.
- Collaborate and work closely with client's other professional advisors in the spirit of delivering a seamless client experience.
Product Knowledge
- Stay updated on a wide range of investment products available in the Canadian market, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, insurance and alternative investments. Assess the suitability of different products based on clients' profiles and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively maintain current and in-depth knowledge of all areas of the wealth planning process, including financial, education, insurance and risk management, retirement, tax, business and estate

Your Skills & Experience :
- A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, tax law, or related field.
- 5+ years' experience in a tax advisory or wealth planning role with experience working with high-net-worth clients and business owners.
- 5+ years' financial services industry experience working in a high growth environment.
- 5+ years' experience in a customer / client-service facing role.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Professional designation such as a Personal Financial Planner (PFP) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is preferred.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and / or Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) a strong asset.
- CLU / LLQP is an asset.
- Proficiency with the MSOffice suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Experience with Conquest or Planworth is an asset.
- Experience with Croesus and Salesforce considered an asset.
