Role description: The Market Strategist acts as deputy to the Global Practice Group Director, responsible for co-developing the global sales and market growth strategy, working closely with the Global Sales Director and Practice Group Director. You will deliver the practice area strategy at the global level, collaborating with regional teams across the Architecture + Urbanism division and greater Places GBA to meet market requirements locally.

You will be an integrated sales and marketing professional, conducting market and client research, developing capture plans for top-tier clients, and working with marketing teams to generate demand. You will advise leadership on market strategy, help craft messaging for key clients, and support proposal responses as needed. You will also manage pipeline data, marketing KPIs, and share knowledge across the firm.

This role requires a proactive, feedback-oriented approach, with the ability to influence strategy and execute plans swiftly, leveraging problem-solving and business acumen.

The role reports to the Director of Sales and has a dotted line to the Practice Group Director. It is a global position, open to any location where Arcadis operates.

Role accountabilities:
  • Develop and deliver global sales and market strategies in collaboration with regional teams.
  • Conduct global market research, assess market movements, and analyze client preferences.
  • Implement sales and marketing techniques, develop capture plans, and pursue opportunities.
  • Provide insightful reports on practice group performance and oversee pipeline and regional marketing metrics.
  • Represent the firm at industry events and seek speaking opportunities.
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders and serve as a connector across practice groups and regions.
  • Evaluate marketing effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Support the capture of top projects with appropriate assets.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to deliver aligned campaigns.
  • Manage and report on practice area KPIs and data sharing initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Extensive experience and technical knowledge in the practice area.
  • Ability to implement processes, develop best practices, and support sales initiatives.
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder teams and driving business outcomes.

Salary range: $95,900 - $178,100, based on location, skills, and experience.
