Job summary

MNP in Sudbury, Ontario is seeking a Senior Accountant, Tax to join our Northeastern Ontario team. You’ll design tax strategies, prepare personal and corporate returns, and advise clients within a dynamic regulatory framework.

The ideal candidate holds a commerce degree, CPA track, and 2–4 years of public accounting or tax experience, with strong English and solid knowledge of Canadian tax acts. Travel flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major preferred).
• CPA designation in progress or CFE exam under way.
• 2–4 years of public accounting or tax experience.
• Knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act.
• Experience with accounting and tax software.

Responsibilities

• Complete tax engagements and prepare personal and corporate returns.
• Set up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses.
• Advise on policy and tax changes; develop proactive tax strategies.
• Identify issues, investigate discrepancies, and resolve with managers.
• Communicate with clients and government agencies on compliance.
• Prepare engagement findings, letters, and client summaries.
• Lead teams and mentor junior staff.
• Support business development and travel as needed.
