The project focuses on integrating all Canadian Army sensors feeds and data within LCSS, enabling the collection, dissemination, processing, and preservation of related information.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support and advice to stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Participate in and coordinate LCSS verification, validation activities, and sensor integration test events.
- Engage in national and international standards working groups, routine program meetings, and domain-specific conferences to advance Sensor Integration.
- Participate in program Large Solution Increment, HQ Domain, and Program Increment events as needed.
- Offer engineering architectural support for observations.
- Develop test plans, design, maintain test beds, and establish test procedures for sensor integration capabilities.
- Maintain technical documentation supporting applications and equipment.
- Track technical issues and solutions, supporting configuration control and change management.
- Conduct system audits and gather user feedback.
- Fulfill Scrum Master duties for Large Solution Domain and HQ Domain.
- Enhance usability and human-computer interaction of systems and products.
- Collaborate with software and engineering teams to develop GUIs for embedded hardware or complex applications.
- Document analysis, design, and testing activities per standards.
- Support procurement by providing technical specifications and data.
- Assist in training new EW support staff and support EW change management processes.
- Design system architecture for communication and information systems within distributed and client/server environments.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex communication and information system issues across platforms and projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or related technical field supporting Land C4ISR (copy required).
- Professional Engineer License within Canada.
- Preference for candidates with Secret level clearance with PSPC/PWGSC.
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Systems Architect for Military Command and Control or ISTAR systems.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in at least one of the following areas: analysis, design, or implementation of command and control communication and information systems, military ISTAR systems, NATO interoperability solutions, or system management solutions.
- Experience in system integration, verification, and validation for hardware and software components in new or existing systems.
- At least 8 years within the last 10 years of experience in preparing technical documents, system specifications, and proposals in IT/engineering fields.
- Strong communication skills for IT frameworks, system engineering directions, and advising senior management; experience leading multidisciplinary teams and strategic planning.
