Job summary

Algonquin College seeks a System Administrator Level 3 to manage enterprise backup, recovery and infrastructure services. The role installs and maintains backup platforms, servers, virtualization and storage, performs recoveries, and supports lifecycle changes with strong ITSM practices.

Qualifications include a 3-year IT diploma/degree, ITIL4 training, and hands-on experience with Windows servers and enterprise backup tools. Hybrid work is eligible under policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience administering Microsoft Windows servers and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with enterprise backup, retention and recovery testing.
• ITIL4 Foundation or equivalent ITSM training.
• Experience with backup and data protection platforms such as Commvault, Veeam, or Azure Backup.

Responsibilities

• Administers and supports the College’s enterprise backup, recovery and infrastructure services.
• Installs, configures, monitors, maintains, secures and troubleshoots backup platforms, servers, virtualization and storage technologies.
• Performs and validates recoveries and supports lifecycle changes.
• Provides technical guidance and documentation within College standards.
