Qualifications

• Qualification in Structural Steel Detailing, Draughting, or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural steel detailing.
• Proficiency in 3D steel detailing software (Tekla Structures, Advance Steel, StruCad).

Responsibilities

• Creating detailed 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings for structural steel components.
• Producing erection drawings and connection details according to designs and project requirements.
• Generating material lists (M lists) and cutting lists for fabrication.
• Coordinating with engineers, architects, and fabricators to resolve design issues and RFIs.
• Ensuring all detailing work complies with codes and project specifications.
• Checking and verifying drawings for accuracy before release.
• Managing detailing tasks to meet deadlines and maintain workflow.
• Participating in project meetings to discuss detailing requirements and progress.
• Maintaining organised project files and documentation.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest detailing software for Northern Cape projects.
