Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Revit Technician for a well-established architectural and engineering firm based in Kimberley. The role focuses on producing high-quality Revit models and construction drawings across diverse projects, coordinating with architects and engineers in a hybrid work setting.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of Revit experience, strong detailing, and a solid understanding of construction methods.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Architectural Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience as a Revit Technician or Drafter.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction methods.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in a hybrid work environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed Revit models for architectural projects.
• Produce comprehensive construction drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy in all drawing outputs and BIM data.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to coordinate designs and resolve technical issues.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of project BIM standards and templates.
• Prepare drawing sets for planning applications and tender submissions.
• Conduct quality control checks on drawings and models to ensure compliance with standards.
• Support junior technicians and provide guidance on Revit best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest versions and features of Revit and related software.
